The Dafuto Canal is famous for it's seemingly perfectly still water, even though it's flowing downstream. The only time you'll see a tiny bit of movement on the surface of the water is when its' raining. Even birds and leaves don't phase the eternally calm image of the canal. The canal has cobble-paved pathways on either side of it, separating it from the forested park it finds itself in. It is an excellent place to spend time, for the sake of not being caught up in the constantly turning wheels of the city.
This is arguably one of the most frequented and romantic places in the Leaf Village, because of the perfect reflections found in the waters, and the way it feels safely nestled between the trees. Couples often find themselves on one of the many bridges, wistfully gazing into each other’s eyes, because the only thing more romantic than a perfect night sky above you, is that along with a perfect night sky in the water below you, as well.
